Hello there! I’m sorry it’s taken me 2 weeks to get back on here and write to all of you. It’s been so overwhelming post album release and I honestly didn’t think I would be as busy as I’ve been, but I forget this is NOT the “Roy” era, this is Loverboy Lucian, and this bitch STAYS busy. First off, thank you to every single one of you, for the amount of love you have shown me and this album. I’m so glad you’re loving it. I’m so glad you’re seeing how much love we put into this. It’s crazy that it’s been out for 2 weeks now, and we still have a long way to go for this era. I think people forget, myself included, that the “Roy” era lasted nearly 4 years. We are only 6 months into Loverboy and 2 weeks into this albums lifespan. Now that the entire body of work is out, the singles from the album will be keeping this body of work afloat.
“Aim For The Heart” has been out for one month now. It’s my fastest gaining single… Ever. My team and I have been seeing that song perform so incredibly well, and look forward to see where it’s headed. I’m very glad that “heart” is leading us into this very long and loving era ahead. I see that you guys really fuck with “Does Your Girlfriend Know About Me?”. NGL, I KNEW YOU WOULD. It’s such a bop and its controversial in THE BEST POP STAR WAYS. I wrote that song to be petty, but got this absolute BANGER in return. “The World Around Us Stops”… I was NOT expecting that song to perform in the way that it is performing. I love the song so much, but never thought it was single worthy… until I saw that YA’LL keep replaying it. “Good Boy” ANOTHER strong performer. It’s a bop, I KNOW, lol. God it feels good to feel ALIVE and fucking sexy within the lyrics of that song, right? Anyways, those 3 songs… Keep it up and you’ll be rewarded with so much for them during this era. One of them IS the next single.
I’m actually knee deep in prep to shoot the music video for said song in 3 weeks. I’m very excited. It’s a whole 180 from what we’ve grown to know within my visual worlds. I’m so excited to act, like REALLY act, and to dance, like REALLY dance. I’ve been in rehearsals for the last 2 weeks and I already feel alive in new ways. You’ll get news on this new single and music video in July. Release week was a dream. The release show at The Faight is a memory that will stick with me for life. Sharing the evening on that stage with my friends Sofie Mae and Liv Belda meant everything to me. I am grateful for those special bonds I have with those girls, now forever intertwined with this album. My band, and my loverboys. First off to perform with my king, Tommy Holmes, that’s been a bucket list item. The fact that he brought along the incredible Richard on trumpet, and Jared on sax (S/O Jared’s partner Daniella, who I ADORE as well), anyways, incredible. The Regiment Horns are big shoes to fill, but these musicians held their own, and are equally incredible. So thankful my friend T, could rally up these troops of musicians (Love you T!). My background singers ATE. I love you my lovergirl Court and loverboy Ash. I just recently watched the show back and their vocals amped the foundation of mine and made me a stronger vocalist in the process. Our live loverboys, Luke and Moody did a great job pulling through all the newbies added to the set, and us loverboys cherish the times we get to share with them on stage. And as for my loverboys Mike and Michael, they always show up and show out. I’m so proud of my brothers, they are some of my best friends, and the fact that I get to make these pieces of art with them, share these stages, and the special moments in between it all, with them, I’m a very lucky loverboy. The 3 of us are about to go film the new music video for ya’ll and I’m so stoked for everyone to get to know them better through this new era.
Thank you to anyone who came out to the show and made it so special. Ya’ll were attentive and engaged, and TURNT AF. Just how I like it. I know some of you are bummed that you missed out on the show, but fret not, there is still MANY MORE shows to come. Be patient, I’ll be patient with you, while we set those up. Because I myself would LOVE to have more full shows like this release show. I turned 29 the next day and that itself was lovely epilogue to this release week. I spent the day at Ocean Beach with my best friends, playing football and getting high as fuck… I can say that now, right? Lol. Like bro, I sing about weed like 4x on this album. Ain’t no hiding, and we’re all of age here. LIGHT UP THAT F’N JOINT.. and throw out the baggage. LMAO. All jokes aside, May 2024 has been one of the greatest times in my life. I will always cherish these last few weeks close to my heart. Especially as we move forward and explore what this album, and this era can truly bring to the table. There’s a lot more coming, you can count on that. You’ve ain’t seen nothing yet.
