Hello there! Wow! Has it been 2 months? I’m sorry that I’ve been so MIA. Honestly, I have been incredibly busy being Loverboy Lucian and living a life for what feels like the first time ever. In the last 2 months since Loverboy Lucian released, we shot a brand new music video and photoshoot for the NEXT single out later next month. We did SoFar Pride and a few classic SoFar’s in between. I went to Disneyland and turned it into my personal fashion show, lol. Uhh…. We booked THE HOTEL CAFE, for a redemption show on AUGUST 6TH… OH! and I’m back in the studio, already working on new music… SURPRISE!!!

Let’s start with the Hotel Cafe. I think I’ve made it known that our last show at HC, was my own personal nightmare. No one showed up to that show in February 2023. We had like 4 people in that audience. For months I had recurring nightmares about it. Obviously we were banned from playing that venue for a while… up until Loverboy Lucian came into the picture. I had a gotten an email, which I honestly thought was a joke. It was an inquiry for me and the loverboys to perform at the “not another showcase” show on August 6th. I immediately accepted. I’m not the Roy that showed up at that venue a year and a half ago… baby, I’m Roy Loverboy Lucian, and I GOT THIS. TBH I feel like this is LONG overdue. I am honored that my loverboys and I were asked to be apart of the lineup. I look forward to proving myself to this selective crowd. I think it’s obvious that I’ve spent some time away from LA over the last 6 months. I did not want to be there. Over the last month, I’m now here every week. I’ve been on a plane 6 times over the last 3 weeks. I needed that time away from LA to really prep myself to re-enter that Hollywood playground fully charged and ready to go. I was not ready before the release of the album, I am now. I owe my friends and loved ones a great amount of gratitude for getting me to a point where I feel confident to step on the walk of fame and show that I’m worthy of being amongst my LA peers. Being back in LA has been a fruitful experience. I have never felt like this before, plus it is the first time that I’m here as Loverboy Lucian. Like I said, I’m not the same boy I was prior to all this. In fact, it’s been going so well that other LA offers have been coming through. So the Loverboys and I will be spending A LOT more time getting to know this city all over again, in a brand new way. If you’re in LA August 6th, we hope you can come out and see us. If you follow me on instagram you already know that I’ve been evenly splitting my time between LA and SF. When I’m home in SF, I’m always with my friends and loved ones. Surrounding myself with pure joy and love. It’s energized me to pour all that joy and love into my work. Last month we shot a new music video for the next single from LL. It’s THE BEST music video I’ve ever done. It’s SO GOOD, that we’re doing additional photography in the next 2 weeks. May as well make it as epic as possible. But trust me, It’s taking this era down a whole new path, and I’m excited for you to see the evolution of the Loverboy Lucian. Oh! And the photoshoot? I look so fucking cool that even I myself was shook. I’m itching to show you all what I have in my hard drive. It’s VASTLY different from the loverboy you’ve gotten to know, in the BEST way possible. Getting to work with a whole new visual team for both the videos and photos has been such a blessing. I am very grateful and can’t wait to talk more in depth about them when the time comes next month.

With all that said, I thank you for hanging in there and waiting for me to return. I’ll be on more often now, leading up to Hotel Cafe… and SINGLE 2… There’s still so much to come. Buckle up, August is a really big month.
